From the Candyman to the Honeyman

Born from sweet beginnings. Crafted with curiosity. Shared with wonder.

A Legacy of Wonder

Our roots trace back to The Candyman, a beloved boutique store in New Zealand that brought joy by the jar, the box, and the handful. The shelves held the largest range of confectionery in the southern hemisphere at one point — but it wasn’t the quantity that mattered. It was the wonder.

At the heart of the store stood a giant blackboard known as The Wishlist, where any customer could add a sweet request in chalk.

.

When a product was ordered, it was crossed off. When it arrived, it was wiped clean. People didn’t just visit for candy—they came to see what dreams were coming true that week.

That philosophy — of listening deeply, crafting joy, and never settling for “just enough” — became the foundation for everything that came next.

Why Honey?

In time, the wishlist shifted. New tastes emerged. Manuka Honey was one of the most requested products we never stocked. And while travelling overseas, we understood why: outside New Zealand, good Manuka was hard to find, and great Manuka was even rarer.

So the question was asked — could we make something better? Something crafted with intention, balanced in flavour, and naturally beautiful?

The answer was yes.

Not Just Honey. Velvet Honey.

Every jar of our honey is creamed slowly over 72 hours to achieve a velvet-smooth texture and signature mouthfeel.
The flavour is carefully blended across regions of New Zealand — from the deep, earthy North to the lighter, floral South — to strike just the right balance: not too sweet, not too sharp. Just enough that you always want another spoonful.

It’s honey as it should be. Honest. Harmonious. Remarkably moreish.

More Than a Product. A Feeling.

Where others offer heritage beekeeping, we bring a candy-maker’s sense of wonder.

We don’t just sell honey. We create moments. The kind that surprise you. That delight you. That make you want another sip, another drop, another try.

Because we’ve always believed that sweetness is more than a flavour — it’s a feeling you remember.
