Rewarewa Honey

Rewarewa (Knightia Excelsa) is a native tree endemic to New Zealand, that was once called honeysuckle by early New Zealand settlers due to the nectar dripping freely from the flowers during hot summer days.

The unusual cylindrical shaped flowers are only in bloom for a short period of time beginning in the early summer.

This short flowering season causes our bees to work extra hard to bring you this delicious reddish amber honey along with its smooth malty-caramely undertone, that is sure to melt in your mouth and captivate even the most discerning honey connoisseurs.
