FROM THE CANDYMAN TO THEHONEYMAN

theHoneyman grew out of The Candyman, a beloved New Zealand confectionery store founded in 2010 and known for curiosity, discovery, and listening closely to what customers wanted.

At the centre of the store was The Wishlist, a giant blackboard where customers could request products from around the world. When something was ordered, it was crossed off. When it arrived, it was wiped clean.

It became more than a list. It was a way of understanding what people were searching for.

Over time, one request kept appearing: Manuka Honey.

What began as a customer request became the foundation for a more considered New Zealand honey brand: one built around provenance, quality, flavour, and presentation worthy of the product itself.

In 2019, theHoneyman was launched.

We saw room for a brand that could bring together provenance, quality, flavour, and commercial-ready presentation.

Today, theHoneyman supplies premium New Zealand honey products to hospitality, distribution, and retail partners internationally - including the Regent, Rosewood, and The Peninsula hotels in Hong Kong.

Our range reflects the same curiosity that started with The Wishlist: distinctive products, clear New Zealand provenance, retail-ready formats, and a commitment to quality across every product.
